HOUSTON – Porsha Daniels is going through weeks of rehabilitation after she says her ex-boyfriend, Nathaniel Davis, broke into her northeast Houston apartment and attacked her and then killed her friend.
Investigators said the incident happened in early February.
Daniels said she had broken off a two-year relationship with Davis, but he didn't want to end things.
"He was like, 'I'm not going to just let you walk out of my life like that, not that easy. I'm not going to let you,'" Daniels said.
One morning while she was getting ready for work, Daniels said she heard a loud bang as Davis broke through the apartment window on Sumpter Street.
"When he came in, he just rushed straight to me and was like, 'Why aren't you not answering your phone?' and then stabbed me," Daniels said.
She told Channel 2 exclusively Davis had a knife in both hands and then started stabbing her dozens of times. Then her friend, Searrier Smith, who was staying with her that night, came out of the room to help, but was killed, according to police, when Davis stabbed him to death.
"When he checked my pulse and I was still alive, he grabbed me by my hair and started cutting around my neck, cutting around my neck. Literally trying to cut in my skin," said Daniels. "It was like he was trying to saw my neck off with a knife."
Meanwhile, Davis is in jail with no bond. When asked what Daniels hopes happens to the man accused of attacking her and killing her friend?
"Do you want him to get the death penalty?"
"Yes, I do want him to get the death penalty. Yes, I do," she said.
