Father of Jacinto City mayor arrested

JACINTO CITY, Texas – The father of the Jacinto City mayor is facing charges after a loud house party Sunday.

Javier Gonzalez is charged with interference with the duties of a police officer.

Police were called to a home for a noise complaint about a live band performing at a wedding celebration.

Officers were looking for the homeowner, but Gonzalez told the crowd not to cooperate with them.

Police said Gonzalez then said the officers couldn't do anything to him, because he is the mayor's father.

Gonzalez was charged with a misdemeanor and posted bond
