When the deputies attempted to apprehend the suspect, Colbin John Wright, 20, of Onalaska, he fled the scene with Sarah Wilson, 20, of Kingwood, in the passenger seat of a Kia Forte.

Wright led police on a chase that ended in Liberty County, where the Kia struck several patrol vehicles before getting stuck in the median, authorities said.

According to the Constable's Office, when Wright got out of the car, deputies shocked him with a Taser because he would not comply with their commands.

Wright is charged with evading arrest in a vehicle; resisting arrest; aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; and outstanding out of county warrants for deadly conduct; forgery; and theft by check.

Wilson is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon; fictitious license plates; tampering with physical evidence; and outstanding Montgomery County warrant for theft by check.
