Man cornered, shot to death in robbery in north Houston

HOUSTON – Two robbers are on the run after killing a man in north Houston for his wallet.

The deadly incident happened around 10 p.m. Monday when a husband and wife were at a stop sign on McGallion Road.

Houston police say the gunmen pulled in front of them and blocked the couple's car.

Then, the two men walked up, opened the victim's car, and shot the husband. Afterward, they stole his wallet and cellphone, police say.

The wife was not hurt, but the husband died at the scene.
