Murdered woman's family establishes domestic violence foundation No description found
HOUSTON – The family of a murdered mother is working to help prevent domestic violence.
Candace Williams' family held a news conference Tuesday to announce the establishment of a foundation in her name. The foundation's purpose will be to assist women in violent relationships.
Williams was murdered by her husband in their north Houston home earlier this month. Police say her husband Phillip Deckhard then killed himself.
Williams' children were in the home and heard the gunshots. They ran to a neighbor's for help. They are now being cared for by relatives and will go through counseling.
