Police find card skimming device at Conroe gas station

CONROE, Texas – Two card skimming devices, commonly used to steal credit card information, were found at a gas station in Montgomery County.

Officers found the skimmers at the Shell on League Line Road and Interstate 45 in Conroe.

According to investigators, a technician checking the gas pumps found a "piggy back" device near the electronic components for the card readers on two pumps.

The devices were installed sometime between April 20 and May 1, police said.

Customers who visited that Shell gas station in Conroe should check their bank accounts for fraudulent activity.
