Krispy Kreme Doughnuts returning to Houston
All 5 doughnut shops in the Houston area closed back in March 2006
HOUSTON – After closing all of its Houston area stores seven years ago, Krispy Kreme is making a comeback.
Dulce Restaurants, LLC, a subsidiary of Dallas-based Sun Holdings, LLC, said Monday it will open 10 franchises in Houston over the next five years.
Krispy Kreme has over 240 doughnut shops around the nation.
The Company has over 560 locations in 22 countries outside the United States.
In March 2006, all five Houston stores closed after a disagreement between the company and the franchisee owner.
