Fort Bend County investigator charged with sex assault

Larry Linley accused of sexually assaulting girl

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – A Fort Bend County official has been accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl.

Larry Linley has been an investigator with the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office for the past 11 years. On Tuesday, he was taken off the job after accusations of sexual assault of an underage girl surfaced.

The Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office said Linley was arrested Friday on four warrants charging him with repeatedly sexually assaulting an underage girl.

The girl is now 22-years-old, but the alleged sexual assaults happened while she was in fifth and sixth grades, officials said.

Investigators said Linley videotaped some of the assaults.

District Attorney John Healey said the alleged incidents happened in Matagorda County. Linley was booked into the Matagorda County Jail.

Healey said Linley has been put on paid administrative leave while they investigate the allegations. He said he hopes the case will be resolved as efficiently and quickly as possible.
