Girl, 13, who ran away with family car found safe in Nashville

HOUSTON – A 13-year-old girl who ran away from home in a family member's car has been found safe in Nashville after a nationwide alert was issued, investigators said Friday.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said Elizabeth Annette Robinson was last seen at her home in the 17100 block of Ledgefield in Cypress about 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Investigators said Elizabeth took her family's car, a brown 2011 Nissan Versa with Texas license plate No. DB2B924.

Elizabeth was believed to be going to Hodgenville, Ken., to meet a 12-year-old boy she met online while playing Xbox games, officials said.

She was found safe 800 miles away in Nashville when the Tennessee Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop because her vehicle matched an Amber Alert bulletin.

Robinson was returned to her parents.
