Police arrest man accused of attacking two Galveston joggers
Christopher Vela charged with two counts of Criminal Attempt of Sexual Assault
Christopher Adrian VelaGALVESTON, Texas – Galveston police have arrested a man wanted in connection to two attempted sexual assaults Wednesday.
According to investigators, Christopher Vela, 24, tried to rape two women while they were jogging.
One attempted attack happened in the 4700 block of Seawall while the other happened near 51st and Ave N ½, detectives said.
Vela is charged with two counts of Criminal Attempt of Sexual Assault.
His bond has been set at $500,000.
