The couple was wanted in connection with the beating and robbery of Mary Cashdollar on Wednesday morning. Deanna Grubbs had once worked as a housekeeper for Cashdollar.

Investigators in Shelby Counter said Bobby Grubbs is also a suspect in a triple shooting at a motel in Joaquin. A woman was killed in that shooting. The two other victims were hospitalized, but their conditions have not been released.

Bobby Grubbs was taken to the Montgomery County Jail. Investigators said he confessed to the shooting in Shelby County.

Deanna Grubbs was taken to Kingwood Regional Hospital. Detectives have not said what kind of injuries she suffered, but did say that she is in custody at the hospital.

Deputies said the couple left their two children, ages 9 and 12, home alone when they committed one of the crimes. Children's Protective Services said they took the children into custody while the couple was on the run.
