HOUSTON – A woman was charged with intoxication manslaughter Thursday after deputies said she ran a red light and slammed into two vehicles, killing one person and critically injuring another in northwest Harris County.
The collision happened around 4 a.m. on Highway 249 and Boudreaux.

Witnesses said Amanda Lynn Woods, 22, was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck at a high rate of speed and ran another red light before the deadly collision. The woman's truck collided with a Kia car and a Toyota car.
The driver of the Kia died at the scene. The driver of the Toyota was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.
The passenger in the Toyota was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies said Woods told them she works at a bar and had a few drinks.
Deputies performed a field sobriety test and said she was intoxicated.
She has also been charged with two counts of intoxication assault.
