BARC was hoping to get 250 animals adopted over the next week.

To make it easier for adoptions the shelter changed its adoption fees for the next week.

Potential pet owners will now pay  $10 for cats and $20 for dogs.

The adoption fee includes spaying or neutering, a city license tag and a microchip. BARC said the unseasonably warm weather brought more animals to their door step.  Since Tuesday BARC has processed 250 animals.

Their shelter has only 550 animal enclosures.

As of Friday, BARC was caring for 476 dogs and 121 cats.
