Children's Museum of Houston and The Lorax celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday with weeklong fun!

Dr. Theodor Seuss Geisel spent a lifetime dedicated to the pursuit of learning through imagination. The Children's Museum of Houston (CMH) invites you to celebrate the life and times of the literary genius who taught the world "the more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn the more places you'll go."  His birthday falls on March 2.  Also, one of Dr. Seuss' most beloved characters, The Lorax, will be on hand to share in the celebration!  The Lorax premieres in theaters on March 2.

The Lorax Character Appearance: "I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees." The Lorax will stop by to help you discover the wondrous works of Dr. Seuss. Bring your camera!Event Times: Thursday, March 1, 5 – 7 p.m.; Friday, March 2, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.;Saturday, March 3, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

  • Bartholomew and the Oobleck: Come discover this great book at the Science Station and explore the ooey gooey Oobleck from the story with your own hands!
