PINEHURST, Texas – An information technologies department head has been accused of downloading something that he shouldn't have.
William Sexton, 38, has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and possession of a controlled substance.
Montgomery County Precinct 5 deputy constables said Sexton's boss at Lincoln Manufacturing felt that Sexton was acting strangely on Jan. 17. Investigators said Sexton was not speaking coherently, so he was required to take a drug test as part of the company's policy.
"He tested positive for meth," Constable David Hill said.
Sexton was terminated from his job. His company-issued gear, including his laptop and cellphone were returned.
"That's when they found the child porn," Hill said.
Investigators then got a search warrant to search Sexton's Pinehurst home. Detectives said they seized a cellphone, two computers, two laptops and 35 hard drives.
Hundreds of sexually-explicit pictures and videos of girls, some as young as 6 years old, were found on the devices, investigators said.
Detectives said meth and a meth pipe were also found inside the home.
Sexton has been jailed without bond. Officials said more charges may be filed.
