SPLENDORA, Texas – One-hundred million dollars in cash and $1.4 million in property were seized when homes in Splendora and Harris County were searched as part of a drug investigation on Friday.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit searched the homes as part of an investigation into a suspected major cocaine trafficking and money laundering organization.

During the investigation, about $1 million in cash was seized from the suspected members of the group.
Authorities also said several ledgers containing coded records that described millions of dollars in suspected cocaine sales were seized, along with computers and others documents. The estimated value of the seized property is $1.4 million.
The Montgomery County Auto Theft, Montgomery County District Attorney Office, Drug Enforcement Agency, Internal Revenue Service, Harris County Sheriff's Office were also part of the investigation.
Investigators said more seizures and arrests are expected.
