Texas-based company expands alfalfa sprout recall
No description foundDALLAS – Texas-based Green Valley Food Corp is adding more of its alfalfa sprout products to its recall list.
The company recalled 6,723 cases of sprouts last week after a random sample tested positive for salmonella.
The initial recall was for its "Let's Grow Healthy Together" brand.
The recall has now been expanded to sprouts sold under "Green Valley Food Corp" and "Broccosprouts" brands.
The sprouts the company is concerned about were distributed and sold in Texas between Dec.7 and Jan. 1.
No illnesses have been reported.
