HOUSTON – The FBI is using digital billboards to help catch a fugitive wanted for robbing several banks in the Houston area.
Patrick Wayne Simmons, 27, is wanted in connection with a rash of violent bank robberies inside grocery stores from 2007 to 2011.

An off-duty Harris County sheriff's deputy was shot during one of the robberies in August at a Wells Fargo Bank in Sugar Land. He survived. Simmons is the only fugitive wanted in the case.
Simmons is described as a black, 5 feet 11 inches tall and approximately 180 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his arms and neck.
Investigators believe he is still in the Houston area. The FBI is publishing Simmons' picture on Clear Channel Outdoor billboards throughout the Houston area.
A reward of up to $30,000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
