PEARLAND, Texas – A woman threatened to kill a bank teller with a bomb and a gun during a robbery, detectives said.
Brazoria County sheriff's deputies said the woman held up the Wells Fargo Bank in the 10100 block of F.M. 518 in Pearland about 1:50 p.m. Saturday.
Detectives said the woman waited in line until a bank teller called her up to the counter.
The woman handed a note to the bank teller that said, "I have a bomb, and a gun, give me the money or I will kill you," investigators said.
Deputies said the woman told the teller to give her the top drawer and to hurry up.
The teller handed over $3,100.07, which the woman put in the pocket of a hooded sweatshirt, detectives said.
The bank teller said he never saw a gun or a bomb, deputies said.
Investigators said the woman may have some knowledge of bank operations because she waited for a slow time of day. There were only two customers in the bank.
The woman left the note behind, and she did not wear gloves during the robbery, detectives said.
The woman got away in a gray or silver compact car.
She was described as Hispanic, in her early to mid 20s and 5 feet to 5 feet 5 inches tall with long black hair with blonde highlights. She was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored jeans.
