Montgomery County chef accused of smuggling guns

LAKE CONROE, Texas – A well-known chef in Montgomery County is accused of smuggling firearms and hiding them in his restaurants.

Dine "Dino" Rraci, 48, was arrested in November.

He has been charged with firearm smuggling, a second-degree felony.

Montgomery County sheriff's deputies said several weapons, along with a large amount of ammunition, were found at his restaurants in the Lake Conroe area.

Detectives said they found several firearm boxes hidden in trash cans and in food pots.

Rraci's attorney told Local 2 that investigators searched Bistro Italiano & Rex Steakhouse on Nov. 22. However, he would not confirm where the guns were found.

Racci is being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond.
