NEEDVILLE, Texas â A fire broke out in the Needville area on Wednesday.
Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said the fire started near in the 5200 block of Foster School Road about 4:30 p.m.

Officials said 500 to 700 acres were burned, and a barn and a small building were destroyed.
Investigators said a private aircraft dropped fire retardant on the flames, which emergency workers said "helped immensely."
One firefighter suffered heat exhaustion, officials said.
Deputies said some residents evacuated on their own, but there were no mandatory evacuations.
Detectives said Fenske Lane at Reeh Road and Fenske Lane at Foster School Road were closed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
