Apartment resident shot, killed after meeting with man, woman, police say

 A man was shot and killed outside of an apartment complex Sunday morning, police said.

Investigators said the shooting was reported to police around 6 a.m. at Summercrest Apartments at 3950 Hollister St. in northwest Houston. Alexander Montoya, 40, walked outside of his apartment, met with a man and a woman and gunshots were fired, police said.

The suspects were seen walking from the scene, eastbound on Pitner Street.

The victim was shot multiple times and was transported to Ben Taub Hospital, where he died, police said.

It's unclear what kind of meeting they were having or if an argument broke out when the shots were fired, police said.
