He left with a 123-47-2 record. He was a three-time Southwest Conference Coach of the Year.Dennis Franchione - 2003 to 2007 - He was the 26th head football coach at Texas A&M, coaching the Aggies for 60 games. He left Texas A&M with a 32-28 record.Gary Darnell - 2007 - He served as interim coach after the departure of Dennis Franchione. He only coached one game, when the Aggies appeared in the 2007 Alamo Bowl.Mike Sherman - 2008 to 2011 - He was the 27th head football coach at Texas A&M. He left the Aggies with a 25-25 record.Tim DeRuyter - 2011 - He served as interim coach after the departure of Mike Sherman. He only coached the Aggies for one game, when Texas A&M won the Meineke Car Care Bowl.Kevin Sumlin - 2012 to 2017 - He was the Aggies' 28th coach, leading the team through 65 games. He left Texas A&M with a 44-21 record. He also was named the 2012 SEC Coach of the Year.
