Millions around the country and world are continuing to mourn the passing of country music legend Toby Keith, who died the age of 62 on Monday.

While from Oklahoma, Keith could have been an honorary Houstonian with how many times he performed at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Keith performed nine times at the Rodeo, with the last time coming in 2013 at NRG Stadium (known then as Reliant Stadium). During that performance, he was joined on stage by baseball great Roger Clemens.

The other years that Keith performed at the rodeo were in 1996, 1996, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

In addition to appearing so much at the Rodeo, Keith briefly had a business venture in Houston as well.

In 2012, Keith had a chain of restaurants nationwide called “I Love This Bar and Grill,” a title that was based out of one of his hit songs. One location was opened in Houston, but the chain eventually was closed in 2015 due to financial issues.
