Brooks & Dunn performed at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo from 1992 to 2010 and then again in 2019 and 2023. The duo holds the record for longest-running country music residency in Las Vegas, while selling out tours across North America.
In 2007, they performed in front of the one millionth RodeoHouston fan. The next year, they became the first duo or group added to the Star Trail of Fame.

The star entertainers perform after the last rodeo event is completed each evening and the stage is set. Start times for the concert vary day to day. Tickets are required for entry.
- Weekday rodeos start at 6:45 p.m. The entertainer takes the stage at approximately 9 p.m. NRG Stadium gates open at 6 p.m.
- Weekend rodeos start at 2:45 p.m. The entertainer takes the stage at approximately 5 p.m. NRG Stadium gates open at 2 p.m.
