HOUSTON – The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has announced its 2016 World's Championship Bar-B-Que Contest, which runs from Feb. 25 through Feb. 27.
More than 250 teams comprising over 400 entries will compete for best overall barbecue.

The contest will be held at NRG Park, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25; from noon to 11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26; and from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27.
Judging and the awards presentation will be held on Saturday.
For visitors, tickets range in price from $15 (for adults, ages 13 and over) to free (for children 2 and under).
With each ticket purchased, visitors are treated to a complimentary chopped beef sandwich plate.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy their meal on the porch-style area at The Chuck Wagon.
The Garden, a festive gathering place inside the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest, will feature street dancing with live entertainment each night, and The Rockin’ Bar-B-Que Saloon will also have live entertainment.
