A massive recall was announced Thursday for Dr. Brown's Lovey pacifier and teether holders.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, a snap on the pacifier's ribbon can detach and pose a choking hazard for young children.
The recall affects nearly 600,000 holders sold in eight styles: Giraffe, Zebra, Turtle, Reindeer (Special Holiday Edition), Frog (Special Holiday Edition), Spring Bunny (Special Holiday Edition), Deer and Bunny.
Holders with the following lot codes are being recalled:

The lot codes are printed on the tag attached to the holder.
The recalled holders were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, H-E-B Grocery, K-Mart, Target, Toys 'R Us/Babies 'R Us, Wal-Mart and other stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com from August 2015 to March 2018.
The company has received a total of 67 reports of the ribbon fraying and the snap detaching. No injuries have been reported.
Anyone with a recalled holder should immediately remove them from young children and contact Hand-Craft to receive a replacement or merchandise of equal or lesser value.
