T-Mobile accused of false advertising and other business news

HOUSTON – The New York Attorney General is investigating complaints that T-Mobile’s ads are misleading.

The cellular carrier has a popular ad campaign that promises to rip up service contracts and do away with hidden fees. The attorney general wouldn’t say more than that, only that an investigation is ongoing. T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere tweeted that he stands by his company’s ads.

In other business news, could adult Happy Meals be a way to get people to eat healthier? A new study from the University of Arizona suggests that the majority of adults would pick a smaller-sized meal if it came with a prize or incentive. In the study, adults, including students, chose the smaller meal for the chance to win 10,000 frequent flier miles or a $100 gift card.

In a similar study, a majority of sixth-graders also chose the smaller meal when it included an incentive. In that case it was a pair of inexpensive earbuds.
