HOUSTON – Whether it's a sink, toilet or shower, stopped up drains can quickly drain a budget when a plumber has to get involved. That's why consumer expert Amy Davis tested a product that claims to unstop any drain with almost no effort at a fraction of the cost.

Plumber's Hero cost $19.99 and according to its television commercials, it's the one product plumbers don't want people to see.

During Amy's first test, Plumber's Hero did blow some gunk out the sink. But whenever she tested the sink again, it only drained about four seconds faster than before. However, the product advertises about 20 uses per can, so multiple attempts could help.

Consumers who recommend the product seem to have smaller clogs, like slow drains from trapped hair and soap scum. Bigger problems will likely still require a plumber.
