Walk to benefit children with apraxia speech disorder

Walk scheduled Saturday at Tom Bass Park

A walk will be held Saturday to benefit children with apraxia of speech.

HOUSTON – A walk will be held Saturday for children with the speech disorder known as apraxia.

People with apraxia have trouble correctly saying what they want to say.

The event is called Houston Walk for Children with Apraxia. It will be held at Tom Bass Park.

Registration for the walk starts at 8 a.m. The walk begins at 10 a.m.

After the walk, medals will be handed out to children with apraxia who participated in the walk.

There will also be carnival games and a snow cone truck.
