Several neighborhoods near Lake Livingston now under boil water notice after heavy rain, flood waters ravage the area

LIVINGSTON, Texas – The Lake Livingston Water Supply Corp. has issued a boil water notice for several neighborhoods near Lake Livingston due to intense weather that slammed the area this week.

All water customers in the affected neighborhoods are told to boil their drinking water and any water used for activities such as brushing their teeth.

The affected neighborhoods are the following:

  • Hoop and Holler
  • Cactus Jack
  • Old Snake River (due to an electrical repair)
  • Big Thicket Lake Est. # 1 & #2
  • Horse Shoe Lake Estates
