MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Two women were arrested after a bizarre string of events in Montgomery County.
On Tuesday night, Montgomery County sheriff's deputies said an off-duty deputy needed help arresting a woman in the area of Brazos River Loop near Rio Grande River Loop.
The off-duty deputy witnessed a road rage incident and saw one driver intentionally run into another, investigators said.
The off-deputy approached one of the vehicles and attempted to talk with the driver, Robin Scott, 21.
Detectives said the off-duty deputy believed that Scott was intoxicated.
Scott tried to drive away and hit the off-duty deputy's vehicle and ran over his foot, investigators said.
When the off-duty deputy tried to arrest Scott, she resisted, deputies said.
Her passenger, Renee Williams, 23, then got behind the wheel of the car and drove away, according to deputies.
On-duty deputies arrived and helped arrest of Scott. They then searched for the vehicle and Williams. She was found after she went into a nearby residence and then left with another person, investigators said.
Scott has been charged with assault on a peace officer, driving while intoxicated and criminal mischief
