HOUSTON – Police said they are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found Friday morning in southwest Houston.
The body was found about 5:30 a.m. in the 9300 block of Country Creek Street and Club Creek Drive.
According to Houston police, the woman was found shot in the head in a grassy area near the clubhouse of an apartment complex
Police said witnesses reported hearing a woman scream and then heard several gunshots. Investigators believe the victim got into an altercation prior to the shooting.
The woman, believed to be in her mid-20s, has not been identified.
There are no suspects.
