TEXAS CITY, Texas – Texas City police are investigating how a woman who crashed her car into a ditch ended up being struck by another car.
Officers said they are not sure why the woman lost control of her car and drove off the road.

Police said she was walking down FM 517 in Texas City when she was struck.
Investigators say a man driving a maroon Toyota was looking at the car in the ditch when he struck the woman.
The accident happened about 9:30 p.m. about two miles west of State Highway 146.
The woman was taken to the hospital.
She was critically injured in the crash and right now there is no word on her condition.
