A homeless woman was hit by a vehicle Thursday on Westheimer Road at West Sam Houston Parkway.
The crash was reported just before 4 a.m.
Police said the driver stopped to help the woman.
The victim was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
Westheimer Road was closed in the area as police investigated, but reopened around 6:30 a.m.
