WATCH: Father includes son in series of Dubsmash videos for wife

A Minnesota father's Dubsmashing skills is getting some love on the Internet.

Eric Bruce, 30, of Minneapolis used the Dubsmash app to document moments with his son, Jack, to send to his wife while she's at work.

His wife, Priscilla, works as a part-time hair and makeup artist. She works a lot of evenings and weekends, while Eric works traditional workday hours. To keep Priscilla in the loop of what's going on at home, Eric recorded a series of Dubsmash videos and sent them to his wife.

"It was a little glimpse into the past year of raising a baby and having good times together and bonding as father and son, " Bruce told the "Today Show." "And making sure his mom was happy and in the loop after going back to work. It's the equivalent of updating her with a picture, but trying to do something a little more special."

Bruce used Jack's ordinary tasks and behaviors as inspiration for some of the videos. He also used popular songs and favorite films like "Hook," "Harry Potter" and "The Lord of the Rings," and inside family jokes.

Priscilla encouraged her husband to combine all the videos into one and share it on YouTube.

"It just makes me laugh out loud," she said. "It's really like a bright spot in my day."
