BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Walmart is out with its list of top toys months ahead of the holiday season.
The company said it teamed up with 1,000 kids ages 18 months to 10 years to test, play with and help select the best toys for the season to make up its "Chosen by Kids" top toy list.
Walmart's list features new toys and classic favorites.
Newcomers on the list include the VTech Go!? Go! Smart Wheels Train Station Playset, Sofi?a the First Talking Doll and Animal Friends and the Flutterbye Fl?ying Fairy Doll. When it comes to the classics, the Barbie Dreamh?ouse and Elmo are expected to be a favorites. A Fur?by product was back on the list for a second straight year.
"We are taking the guesswork out of customers' holiday toy shopping by turning to kids to tell us what the real top toys are," said Scott McCall, senior vice president of toys and seasonal at Walmart U.S. "Kids told us they want interactive toys as well as classic brands."
