VIDEO: Drive-by shooting in Sugar Land under investigation

SUGAR LAND, Texas – The Sugar Land Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting in the Telfair subdivision.

The shooting was reported around 6:15 p.m. Oct. 16  in the 7700 block of Stanwick.

A man told police he that was inside his home with his family when they heard what they thought were fireworks. When the man went outside, he saw bullet holes in the front window of his car.

Police said shots were fired in front of the house, with rounds striking the front of the home including an upstairs window.

Investigators obtained surveillance video from nearby homes and identified a car that they believe might have been involved in the drive-by shooting. The vehicle is a black four-door Mercedes Benz C Class with after-market wheels.
