United Airlines resolves issues with computer system

HOUSTON – United Airlines says its passenger service computer system is back up and running after experiencing issues Tuesday morning.

The airline said the system experienced intermittent issues which caused nationwide flight delays.

United reported at around 11:45 a.m. that the system had been restored.

According to the flight tracking website, flightaware.com, as of 3:35pm Tuesday, 776 United Airline flights were reported delayed - that's one-third of its flights.

At Bush Intercontinental Airport, 225 inbound flights ran late.

In a statement United said, "We are working to get our customers to their destinations as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience."
