Thieves swipe guns, credit cards from Richmond homes

Police searching for at least 3 suspects

RICHMOND, Texas – Thieves stole guns and credit cards during a string of burglaries in the Richmond area, according to Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said two homes, a garage, and several vehicles were burglarized early Sunday morning in the RiverPark West subdivision.

Stanly Tucker said he woke up Sunday morning to find his car had been burglarized in the middle of the night.

"It is very scary because someone actually had the nerve to walk in your home with your family there and your wife and children.  It's very scary."

Tucker said his wife forgot to lock their vehicle Saturday night.

"Somebody went into our vehicle and actually went through our vehicle, the actual glove compartment and console and found our spare house key," said Tucker.

A Fort Bend County Spokesperson said within hours of the burglaries, surveillance cameras captured the men using the stolen credit cards at a Stafford Walmart on West Airport and the Southwest Freeway.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspects were driving a blue Lincoln town car.

There is a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspects responsible for the crime. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office at 281-341-4665, or the Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
