Woman shot, killed outside Webster flower shop

Police say the shop was closed, but a woman and her adult son were unloading materials after returning from a wedding

WEBSTER – A woman is dead after being shot outside a flower shop in Webster over the weekend.

Webster police said they responded to a robbery in progress call around 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of E. Nasa Parkway.

Police said the shop was closed, but a woman and her adult son were unloading materials after returning from a wedding.

According to police, the son was inside the shop in the restroom when he heard a gunshot. He went outside and found his mother shot.

Officials said the woman was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she later died.

Police said robbery was the apparent motive. They are not sure what was taken.
