HOUSTON – A child has been reunited with its family after being left in a taxi cab in northwest Harris County.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says a family just arriving from Africa had taken a cab to a home in the 5800 block of Beeston Lane around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials say as the family got out of the cab, the child, believed to be 2 to 4 years old, was left inside.
The cab drove off, but returned a short time later to safely return the child.
The sheriff's office is investigating.
