FBI: Plaid-wearing suspect gets away with cash in Spring bank robbery

SPRING – Federal officials are investigating a robbery at a bank in Spring.

It happened just after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the BBVA Compass Bank in the 1500 block of Spring Cypress Road.

The FBI said a man armed with a handgun walked into the bank, approached the teller and demanded money.

After receiving cash, the suspect left the bank in a silver Dodge Charger with dark tinted windows. 

Authorities described the suspect as a black man in his twenties, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds, with a slender to medium build and medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a green and gray plaid shirt, blue jeans and a black do-rag.
