Earn cash for your smartphone photos

A free app is changing the world of on-demand photography

HOUSTON – How many pictures do you have on your phone?  How would you like to turn those photos into cash?

Scoopshot is a free app you can download that's changing the world of on-demand photography.  "There is always a direct need from a media or a brand to buy original content", says CEO Petri Rahja.

Brands like Heineken, Fiat and Finnair are paying big bucks to get authentic photos taken by real people on their smartphones.

You can upload your photos right to the app for consideration, or accept assignments directly from businesses.  Their need is your profit.

If someone buys it, you get a cut of the money, and those buyers get the right to publish the photo.  You can earn anywhere from $5 to $10 per photo on average.  But the company tells Local 2 one man earned $20,000 completing an assignment.
