Teen charged with drunk driving in fatal bayou crash

HOUSTON – A teenager is charged with drunk driving after one of his passengers was killed and another was injured after he crashed into a southwest Houston bayou.

It happened around 3:15 a.m. Sunday on West Bellfort at Bedford.

Police said 19-year-old George Arthur Marion, III is charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.

According to investigators, Marion was speeding when he hit a median and lost control of the vehicle. The car then hit a pipe alongside a bridge before crashing into the bayou.
 
A 19-year-old passenger in the back of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, who is 20 years old, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in an unknown condition.
