HOUSTON - A teenager is facing a criminal charge after street racing crash killed another teen.

Karim Bassam Nabulsi, 17, has been charged with felony racing.

Houston police said Nabulsi was driving a Mercedes and Jesus Brito, 17, was driving a Chevrolet Camero in a street race in the 13300 block of Briar Forest near Eldridge Parkway about 10 p.m. on Friday.

Brito lost control, drove over a curb and crashed into two trees during the race, police said. He died at the scene.

Nabulsi stopped and was arrested at the scene without incident.
