JONES CREEK, Texas – A man has been accused of killing his father at a home in Brazoria County.

Clinton Anthony Sutton Jr., 23, has been charged with murder.

Brazoria County sheriff's deputies said Rebeca Victoria Steinnet-Humaran called 911 Tuesday and told them that Sutton, who is her boyfriend, had choked her at a home in the 600 block of County Road 400.

"EMS was summoned to come and help her, and it was at that time she said that her boyfriend had killed his father," Capt. Chris Kincheloe said .

Deputies said they found the body of Clinton Anthony Sutton Sr., 50, in a heavily-wooded area on the property.

Detectives interviewed Clinton Sutton Jr. and he confessed to shooting his father in the head after someone else shot him in the back.

Officials have not said who allegedly shot the father in the back. Investigators are working to determine if there was a second shooter involved.

The motive for the killing has not been released.

A .44 magnum pistol and several assault-style rifles were found at the home, investigators said.

Clinton Sutton Jr. is being held in the Brazoria County Jail with bond set at $2 million.

Steinnet-Humaran was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Montgomery County.
