Smart 'car tipping' in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO – Vandals in San Francisco pulled an unusual prank on a few car owners in the area.

On Sunday night, residents walked outside to find that someone had tipped over three silver smart cars.

The vehicles looked somewhat comical. One of the cars was pushed over so the headlights were pointing toward the sky. Another was flipped over, with its windshield touching the pavement. And a third car was tipped onto its right side.

It's an impressive feat since the average weight of a Smart Fortwo car weighs in at nearly 1,900 pounds, according to AutoTrader.com.

San Francisco police weren't amused by the stunt, though. Officers are investigating the crime as felony vandalism.
