Police search for man who robbed Red Lobster at gunpoint

Suspect: Black male, 30, slim build

Shenandoah, Texas – Shenandoah police are searching for a man they say robbed a Red Lobster at gunpoint on Sunday.

Investigators said the robber entered the restaurant off I-45 South near Wellman Road pretending to be interested in a job, even speaking to a manager.

Investigators said the man waited in the parking lot, then went back into the restaurant when the last customer left, while at least 10 employees were still in the restaurant.

The robber then pulled a pistol on the manager and forced him to the back office where investigators said the robber took cash from two managers and then took off in a late model 4-door sedan, possibly a Honda, with a white body and black hood.

Officials describe the suspect as a black male, in his 30's, 5 foot 9 inches tall, with a slim build. He has tattoos on his face, including two or three tear drops under one eye and the name "James" written under the other.

Mike Bernstein, a Red Lobster spokesperson, said a Red Lobster in Humble was robbed two weeks earlier.

"We are full cooperating with the local authorities as they conduct their investigation, and will have securty at the restaurant over the next few weeks," said Bernstein.

Police are looking into whether the suspect may be linked to any other recent crimes.

anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the Shenandoah police at 281-298-5522.
