On November 15, 2009, Houston police responded to a shooting at the Riverstone Apartments in the 9300 block of Woodfair.

Police say they found Noe Uribe, 33, critically injured and lying in the driveway entrance to the apartments.

Investigators determined that Uribe had been beaten and then shot during a struggle with three robbery suspects.

The suspects, described as a black male and two black females, then fled on foot, but they left behind their white Ford Thunderbird, police say.

A short time later, Sanders was questioned, but investigators say he told them that his Thunderbird had been stolen.

Further investigation and evidence gathered at the scene later linked Sanders and one other person to the murder.

Police say Sanders voluntarily showed up last Thursday at the Houston Police Department, where investigators say he confessed to his role in the killing.

He also provided information on two other possible suspects, according to police.
